The Sharp 6 it is !
I’ve decided to leave the surfski on the roof and take the Sharp 6 down the hill to Tannforsen on Saturday. It went well in the rapids. Even if I lose 20 sec on each lift I think I’ll earn it back through the rapids themselves. Of course, I’ll lose another 20 sec changing my shoes in Åre Torget (since I have to wear booties in the boat) … Well, sometimes you gotta take risks and I’m taking this one.
Thanks to Kristiina Vaano, I have a few pics to show from today’s paddle, which even featured a little photo shoot with mom halfway through.
I finished the paddle with a long scouting of the first lift, which is much different this year. Together with Stefan S and Ulf O, we searched and searched to find the perfect spot (see pic below) … of course the best plan is to beat everybody there so you get the first pick of where put in the boat 
Tonight I attended the informal meeting about ”Sweden’s multisport future” which was a spontaneous meeting organized by Eric P. We had an interesting chat about where we wanted the sport to go. How can we create more Åre Extreme Challenges that attract racers, create an entertaining event, and make people want to come back year after year after year? No easy answers, but some good suggestions were floated about.
Tmw, I have an interview with Mattias Forsell of Åre Mountain Film. If it’s anything like his past films, Mattias will be together a good one for ÅEC 2013 !
